Wh6y does everyone care if Miley Cyrus is a good role model?

I mean who cares if she took bad pics and if she isn’t a good role model for young children. maybe she is just getting too old to be a perfect little girl. She just wants to let go a little and with a lot of money and fame letting go can mean different things. And the littlest thing makes press go nuts. So nothin is private and some things proly arent even true.

people care cause she is alot of little kids role models,
and my cousin maggie happens to be one of them.
If she growing out of a kid phase and she wants to do that stuff then she should get out of entertaining little kids

Unfortunately, so many many young girls look up to Miley Cyrus. And, generally, many young girls and boys look up to celebrities.

    It’s so lame, so sad!

I quite honestly think she’s pretty awesome!
Who cares if she’s made mistakes?
It’s a part of life, and nobody has the right to judge her unless they know her in person.
I think she deserves the right to be respected by the press and public, because her life is always in the spotlight.
I know I’d do almost anything to be in her shoes, and I just think that people really blow things out of proportion, whether it’s because they’re jealous of her or maybe they just don’t like her music.

But whatever the reason, I don’t think she deserves to be hated by anyone.

And to the person above me, it’s really not sad to look up to celebrities. I’m 14 and an aspiring singer/actress, and I look up to these people for their talent, the way in which they handle the pressure of being in the public eye and for the ways in which they manage to stay so grounded, while having their every move watched by the media.
They’re quite honestly inspirations to me, no matter what mistakes they may have made. Those are in the past now…move on :-)

Because little kids watch her show and they look up to her. If she does something, chances are they are going to try and mimic her. Sure for now it’s only slightly dirty pictures, but soon they will be nude pictures then she will be a complete slut. Do you want your kids taking pictures like that?

The part of the controversy I read looked to me like the gossip press needed something to talk about. She was posing for a world-renowned photog, with her dad by her side, and wore a blanket and jeans instead of an “outfit”. That hasn’t been a scandal since hoop skirts went out.
Please don’t assume that because a reporter uses the word scandal, that something is terribly awry. Look at what happened, and decide for yourself if there is something worth your time and attention.

its because a lot of girls “look up to her”. frankly I think some people took things out of context. however while many people complain about her being “sIutty”, I just get the feeling that she is stuck up. the pics were not sIutty by any means but I do get the feeling that I would rather get to know “hannah montana” than miley cyrus.

but back to the question, most celebrities would prefer that people not look up to them.

reason i think is the whole brittany spears thing. she had the cd’s and the dolls and books and all that wholesome girl next door thing that all girls wanted to e and look what happened to her. now they are putting it on miley i guess, but already i can see her tumbling so i dont know why they try to get these pop icons to help little girls and teens with self images, thats what we are there for as parents…good question though
